Bio

Celebrity chef Spencer Watts is a talented and outgoing chef with a big personality.  He has a passion for food and an infectious enthusiasm that makes cooking simple, approachable and fun. Host of multiple television series including the James Beard Award winning series FISH THE DISH, the Taste Award nominated SPENCER’s BIG 30, WATT’S ON THE GRILL, and multiple seasonal special, Spencer’s food is celebrated in more than 160 countries around the world.  With more than 20 years experience in the restaurant industry, Spencer is known for building dishes that are playful and big on flavour. A culinary consultant to many restaurants, including Gateway Casino's Atlas Steak and Fish, Spencer is also the menu development partner for Haven Kitchen and Bar in Langley, British Columbia.  When he is not developing new dishes for the restaurants, Spencer is working on new television/social media projects and cookbooks as well as helping with his young family.  In fall of 2022, Spencer’s first cookbook FISH FOR YOU hit the market and will be followed by his next cookbook COMFORT FOOD.  Spencer is a team player, a talented chef and joyful person who is always looking for new avenues to share his love of food!
